The appearance, a paid ticketed reading event, will be called an "An Evening With Neil Gaiman" with 100% of the proceeds going to benefit the First Amendment legal work of the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund.
General admission tickets to the reading are available for $20, while supplies last. Neil Gaiman, prolific creator of prose, poetry, film, journalism, comics, song lyrics, and drama, is known as one of the world's top ten living post-modern writers. He is also patron of the Open Rights Group (ORG). In this, the first public appearance of his Graveyard Book UK tour, he invites fans and ORG supporters to discuss piracy from the perspective of a creator, what it means to be one of the tribe of readers, and why most people discover their favourite authors for free.

The Vegas Valley Book Festival, the largest annual literary event in Las Vegas, presents more than 50 featured authors in a full schedule of readings, panel discussions, book signings, workshops, poetry and spoken word performances, exhibitions, children's literature and special events.
<strong>Where:</strong> Most sessions and book signings take place at the historic Fifth Street School (Lewis Avenue and Fourth Street) in the heart of downtown Las Vegas. Keynote addresses take place at the Clark County Flamingo Library (1401 E. Flamingo Road).
The theater seats 399 and they will be handing out wrist bands starting at 6 p.m. They will be limited to one per person. Additionally, since they are anticipated a full house, they will be directing folks to seats in the theater.
